Nine-Colored Deer to be staged at NCPA

-

As part of the National Center for the Performing Arts’ Chinese Dance for 12 Days festival, Zhang Yashu’s Nine-Colored Deer will be staged on Saturday at the NCPA’s Multifunctional Theater. The dance drama has been created by a team of young Chinese dancers and focuses on the legend of the nine-colored deer. In the 1980s, the story of the deer from the Dunhuang Grotto frescoes was made into a cartoon film.
