Top 10 enterprises

The top 10 Chinese enterprises in 2017 are mainly from the energy, banking, construction and insurance fields, according to a list released last week by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association. The list ranked 500 Chinese companies based on their operating revenues in 2016. The country’s electricity giant, State Grid Corp of China topped the list, followed by China Petrochemical Corp and China National Petroleum Corp. During the past 16 years, the operating revenue threshold to be included in the list has risen from 2 billion yuan ($306 million) in 2002 to 28.3 billion yuan in 2017.
