Heritage: Nuo Opera mask specialists create tradition

The mask is an important element of Nuo Opera, listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. Chen Quanfu and Peng Guolong from Jiangxi province, are recognized specialists in making the masks for the opera in its stronghold of southern and eastern China. Chen can carve 400 types of masks a year and Peng creates many new designs.
