Ugandans facing pregnancy tests
The Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) has announced that female athletes will be tested for pregnancy before the country finalizes its team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.
“The UOC medical team will make sure it checks for pregnancy, injuries and doping,” Beatrice Ayikoru, the chef de mission for Uganda’s team to the Games, told Xinhua on Saturday.
Ayikoru added it would be dangerous to take a pregnant athlete to the Games, which will take place from April 4-15 in Gold Coast City.
