Myanmar, South Korea trade surges to $458m
Trade between Myanmar and South Korea reached $458 million in the first seven months of the present fiscal year 2017-18, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Monday. The country’s exports to the East Asian country amounted to over $175 million while its imports were $283 million as of October from April last year. The country usually imports cosmetic, food and electronic equipment, mobile devices and other goods from South Korea and exports agricultural products including cashew nuts, mangoes, rice, beans and pulses. Bilateral trade between the two nations was $866 million in fiscal year 2016-2017.
