Key tourism industry figures will be revealed on Friday

The Tourism Research Center at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will release a report on the country’s tourism industry in Beijing on Friday, providing insight on the development and trend of the sector. Last year, the tourism industry generated revenue of 5.4 trillion yuan ($829 billion), according to the China National Tourism Administration. With the fast expansion of tourism, China has become the world’s largest source of outbound tourists and the fourth-largest destination of inbound tourists.
