Society: Students knit scarves for 100 workers

More than 100 sanitation workers were able to battle the winter chill after a warmhearted gesture by students of the Northeast Normal University in Changchun, Jilin province. About 124 students bought wool and knitted the scarves in their spare time. “This scarf is the most beautiful one I have ever owned,” said Sun Xicai, a sanitation worker in Nanguan district. “And it keeps me warm in the extremely cold weather.”
