A culinary team from Lunar 8 at the Fairmont Beijing Hotel has begun preparing authentic Chinese cuisine to allow for top-class dining experience­s. Its offerings includes fish in aged millet wine, stuffed lotus root with glutinous rice, sour and spicy seafood soup, stir-fried beef filet with BBQ sauce, spicy Sichuan wok-fried prawns with cashew nuts as well as other favorites. The hotel has also launched special room and family suite packages for the Chinese New Year holiday from Feb 15 to 23, with booking available through Feb 21. Kerry’s Kitchen is upping its game in buffet experience­s. Already renowned as one of the best venues for the finest, high quality buffets with added value fun including a children’s corner and adventure zone, Kerry’s Kitchen now brings two themed nights to avid foodies — Butcher’s Premium Meat Night every Wednesday and Seafood Explorer Night on Thursdays. Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangda­o in Hebei province is located at Bohai Bay, which is renowned for its blue water and golden beach. The hotel’s surrounds are translated through the use of golden tones and creams in each of the hotel’s 328 guest rooms. The hotel offers special facilities for families, including a children’s cinema and garden ski resort. Qinhuangda­o is named after Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of Qing Dynasty (221-206 BC), and is one of China’s most popular tourist destinatio­ns.
