Digitalization push criticized as late

Germany’s new minister for digital affairs has criticized the latest push for digitalization in the country at a professional conference on Tuesday. “Everything we now undertake about digitalization comes late for at least one legislative session,” Dorothee Bar said in her first public speech after having taken office last week. The ministry is a newly created post, but it does not confer Cabinet membership.
