1 dead, 1 missing in plane crash

A small amphibious plane belonging to an air tourism company plunged into a reservoir during training in Hainan province, leaving one pilot dead and another one missing, local authorities said on Thursday. The crash occurred in Wanning city at 4:28 pm on Wednesday. The plane belongs to Meiya Air. Both pilots aboard were company employees. Rescuers organized by the city government rushed to the site. A body was removed from the water at 5:58 pm on Wednesday. Rescuers continued to search for the missing pilot. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
