Golden jackal caught on camera

A wild golden jackal has been photograph­ed in the Tibet autonomous region, a first for the species in China, according to the Tibet Biodiversi­ty Image Conservati­on on Monday. The animal appeared on Saturday in Xigaze at an elevation of 3,500 meters. On Sunday, Li Sheng, a researcher at Peking University’s School of Life Sciences, confirmed that the animal was a golden jackal, which is found from North Africa to South Asia.
