Leaks leave people high and dry

-

Residents in a Hangzhou apartment complex were forced to find public toilets and use bottled water to shower after their water supply was cut during maintenance work on June 26. A resident, surnamed Wu, said she was reluctant to even drink water or eat fruit because her toilet couldn’t be flushed. The complex’s manager said the water was suddenly cut off after several pipes were found to be cracked and leaking. The water supply was restored in the evening of July 2 after maintenance workers repaired the plumbing system.
