South African Doctor Wins Science Award
On March 21, South African doctor Stephanie Fanucchi was recognized as one of 15 young female scientists for her innovative research in cancer and autoimmune diseases at the 19th Edition of the L’ORÉAL-UNESCO, for Women in Science Awards International Rising Talent gala dinner in Paris. The award is given to researchers at national and regional ceremonies that take place in 45 different countries. Fanucchi was one of two post-doctoral fellowship recipients of the Science Sub-saharan Africa Regional Program award.
