JEFF KOEHLER
Wrote “Mushroom Hunting in Morocco,”
“From the beginning, Morocco’s natural world interested me as much as its souks and medinas,” says author Jeff Koehler, who has been a frequent visitor to the North African country since settling in Barcelona in 1996. “As I spend a lot of time in the kitchen—my own and others—the best outings are always those that yield something for lunch.” A Seattle native, Koehler has contributed to a host of publications from NPR and the Washington Post to Food & Wine. He has authored four cookbooks—including the critically acclaimed
Morocco— as well as Darjeeling: A History of the World’s Greatest Tea, the 2016 IACP award winner for literary food writing. His next book, Where the Wild Coffee Grows, will be published by Bloomsbury this autumn.
