Raf­fles Grand Ho­tel d’Angkor, Siem Reap

Opened in 1932, the hand­some colo­nial build­ing that houses Raf­fles’ 131 rooms is only out­shone by the six hectares of gar­dens that ring it. De­spite nu­mer­ous up­dates, orig­i­nal fea­tures re­main in­clud­ing wrought-iron el­e­va­tor doors, black-and-white mar­ble floors, and Kh­mer fur­ni­ture. An added bonus is its prox­im­ity to the Angkor ru­ins, less than 10 kilo­me­ters away.
