CENTER STAGE
Barely a decade since its inception, the annual Djakarta Warehouse Project ( djakartawarehouse.com) has mushroomed into the biggest electronic dance music festival in Southeast Asia. Last year’s event, pictured here, drew record-breaking crowds of 45,000 for each of its two days; more than half of those revelers flew in from abroad. The 2017 edition on December 15 and 16 carries plenty of star power, with DJs Tiësto and Steve Aoki making a comeback. Australian artist Flume will perform here for the first time, while Spanish clubbing brand Elrow—known for its extravagant, eye-popping productions—has chosen the event for its Asia debut.
