Fair Coexistence Scheme between LTE-U and Wi-fi Heterogeneous Networks

Abstract: Firstly, an overview of LTE-U was presented, and it is expected that LTE-U performs better than Wi-fi in 5GHZ unlicensed bands. A crucial issue that arises with LTE-U is the coexistence of an LTE-U system and a Wi-fi system in the same unlicensed band. In this section, we present the proposed Three schemes for LTE-U and Wifi to share an unlicensed spectrum, Under the fair coexistence scenario of Wi-fi and LTE-U networks, LTE-U can break through the bottleneck and the system performance can be further enhanced.

1 引言

智能手机、平板电脑等无线设备的使用导致了移动数据的爆炸性增长,凸显出频谱匮乏与需求间的深刻矛盾,而移动数据流量的承载依然以授权频谱为基础,出于授权频谱资源的有限性,移动网络

的容量也受到了很大的限制。与此同时,在5GHZ频

段却存在着丰富的非授权频谱资源,如能有效利用这一频段就可以解决授权频谱资源不足与据流量增

长之间的矛盾。因此,LTE-U技术应运而生[1]。

LTE-U是一种在5GHZ的非授权频谱下,能够

为用户提供运营商及网络服务的一种无线接入技 术。3GPP提出的LTE-U技术框架,将免许可频段作为许可频段的补充,这项技术可借助载波聚合

Sdl(supplemental Downlink)技术,将数据流量分流到未授权的U-NII (Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure)频段。

相比于同样工作在5GHZ的其他接入技术,如

WI-FI,工作在未授权频段的LTE-U系统在网络架构、覆盖能力和网络容量方面具有更大的优势,其有能力提高频谱效率和系统容量,扩大覆盖范围、

增强用户体验。图1和图2分别展示了相同发射功率和传输配置下LTE-U相对WI-FI在覆盖面积和系统
