THE OUTDOOR TYPE

Frankfurt is known for its financial district – spot the skyscrapers – but also for its abundant nature. The Taunus mountain range, north of the city, offers many possibilities for exploring dense forests and mountain trails: hike the high trails around the Feldberg; visit the Saalburg to learn more about the Roman history of that region; or explore the Kubacher Kristallhöhle, a 30-metre-high cave full of crystals, surrounded by limestone that dates back 350 million years.

I live in the Taunus and love hiking, climbing and biking – it’s the perfect place for these outdoor activities. My favourite hobby is geocaching – a kind of treasure hunt – which is so much fun in this area.

法蘭克福不但以市中心高樓大廈林立的金融區而聞名，同時也有豐富的自然風景。位於城市的北面 陶努斯山脈既有茂密森林，亦有遠足山徑供人探索：不妨沿環著 繞Feldberg少的山徑遠足，或者到Saalburg少追尋昔日羅馬人在該區的歷史，也可以前往Kubacher Kristallhöhle，這是個30米高的石灰岩山洞，億於3.5 年前形成，洞內遍佈水晶，令人歎為觀止。
