MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST POP genius Beck leads a diverse line-up for this month’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, alongside soul queen Aretha Franklin, Jack White, David Byrne, Trombone Shorty and local jazzers Preservation Hall Jazz Band. As well as a diverse musical offering, the city’s mix of cuisines is expressed in Louisiana culinary staples like Cajun jambalaya, alligator pie and boiled crayfish served at the festival. 27 April-6 May, nojazzfest.com
