Singapore restricts gay rally funding

Singapore on Friday banned foreign companies from funding a gay pride rally as part of new rules governing protests, which rights campaigners have called “outrageous interference.”

Only citizens, organizations and companies from Singapore will be allowed to sponsor or participate in activities at Speakers’ Corner, according to the ministry of home affairs.
