Vietnam power plant

Unit 1 of Vietnam’s Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant, which is being built by a Chinese contractor, has fired up its furnace for the first time, a preparation for a trial run before the unit is put into operation.

The local Nhan Dan ( People) newspaper on Monday quoted the plant’s investor Vietnam Electricity as saying that the first firing is a key step for the unit to start generating electricity by the end of 2016.
