Tech drives offices

The technology, media and telecoms ( TMT) sector has become a major source of demand for office space in Beijing, a report released by commercial real estate services and investment firm CBRE said on Wednesday.

This finding shows a changing landscape in the market as the TMT sector continues to expand rapidly under the government’s innovation initiative.

Beijing leads the nation in terms of high- quality education and research resources, providing a strong foundation for the agglomeration of TMT companies, the report noted.
