Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines announced on Wednesday it has launched a twice weekly flight on a Boeing 787 from Chengdu, capital of Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, to Los Angeles, the first direct flight from China’s southweste­rn region to the US city.

The airline flies to nearly 100 foreign and domestic cities.

Boeing

US aircraft maker Boeing and CDB Aviation Lease Finance ( CDB Aviation) announced on Wednesday that they had reached a deal for an order of 30 737 MAX 8 airplanes. The order, valued at $ 3.3 billion at current list prices, was previously unidentifi­ed on Boeing’s official Orders & Deliveries website.

Based in Dublin, Ireland, CDB Aviation operates as a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Developmen­t Bank Financial Leasing Co. With registered capital of $ 50 million and a fleet of more than 200 aircraft, CDB Aviation has over 10 years of experience in the business.

Boeing has received more than 3,600 orders for the 737 MAX from 83 customers worldwide.

Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand announced on Wednesday that it will begin in October 2017 flying the Boeing 787- 9 Dreamliner aircraft to Adelaide, increasing the capacity on its Auckland-toAdelaide route.

By introducin­g the aircraft, Air New Zealand will be able to increase capacity on the aforementi­oned route by up to 23 percent during the upcoming peak season, which lasts from October 26, 2017 to March 25, 2018. With the aircraft, the airline will also be able to offer its Business Premier and Premium Economy services on the route for the first time.
