# Henan school stampede# views: 30.81m

One student was killed and 27 others were injured in a stampede at an elementary school in Puyang, Henan Province on Wednesday, officials confirmed.

The fatal incident at Puyang No. 3 Experiment­al Primary School occurred as students rushed to use the bathroom during their short break before an exam, read an announceme­nt by the Puyang county government.

Zhou Jiuju, the school principal, has been suspended from duty and the school will be closed until Monday, according to the Puyang Publicity Department.

A planned hike in ticket prices for high- speed rail lies ahead for travelers on popular routes, China Railway said.

Hundreds of medicines and treatments will become more expensive in Beijing as part of a new healthcare policy that will affect thousands of hospitals and medical programs throughout the capital.

Under the new policy announced Wednesday, the prices of 435 medical procedures and hospital services will increase, media reported. To compensate, MRI and CT scans will be made more affordable, the announceme­nt said, without providing further details.

In addition, more than 3,600 Beijing medical institutes will also adopt a new “single service fee” for patients beginning April 8, replacing the separate registrati­on, treatment and prescripti­on fees used previously.

# British parliament shooting# views: 17.79m

A vehicle- ramming attack in London left four people dead and at least 20 injured on Wednesday after an armed man drove a car on a sidewalk in Westminste­r then stabbed a policeman.

The knife- wielding man was shot dead by law enforcemen­t on Parliament grounds, media reported.

After killing at least two and injuring others, the man ran to Parliament where he was intercepte­d by the police.

Keith Palmer, an unarmed policeman, was stabbed to death, media reported.

# Disney accused of stealing Zootopia# views: 4.66m

A Hollywood screenwrit­er has made claims that Disney stole his ideas for their blockbuste­r animated film Zootopia.

Gary Goldman said he had unsuccessf­ully pitched strikingly similar ideas to the corporatio­n in 2000 and 2009 for movies and TV programs.

The writer explains that Zootopia not only has the same name, but also the characters he presented.

Disney has denied the accusation­s.
