Some French media reports described the killing as a “legitimate defense” against “an assailant with scissors.”

Instead of breaking the ice, she broke his glass, which turned out to be quite expensive.

Crushed, the woman took to Weibo to vent about the “awkward” experience.

But her sweetheart was far from broken up over the incident.

“Would you like to see a movie with me?” he commented on her post.

He not only saw through her bungled attempt at flirting, but also said she wouldn’t need to buy him a new glass, the comment read.

Police in East China’s Zhejiang Province arrested two young men after they held up a string of pharmacies on early Monday morning.

The two suspects robbed three 24- hour drugstores in a row soon after arriving by air from Yunnan Province.

But since most sales at the stores were conducted through mobile payment platforms, police said the pair only managed to score around 2,000 yuan ($ 290) in cash.

“Doesn’t anyone carry cash in Hangzhou?” the suspects asked police.

The two men are awaiting trial.

A father expressed his joy over the arrest of his son by lighting congratulatory firecrackers in front of a police station in East China’s Jiangsu Province on March 19.

The father surnamed Jin praised policemen at Qilidian station in the city of Zhenjiang for apprehending his son for his involvement in a pyramid scheme.

Jin said his son had been unemployed for years, and was happy that he would finally have something to do.

“Now he can think about it in jail,” said Jin.
