The FBI is investigat­ing the suspected kidnapping of a Chinese doctoral student studying in the US state of Illinois.

Zhang Yingying, a doctoral student at the University of Illinois at Urbana– Champaign, was last seen Friday local time.

Released surveillan­ce shows Zhang, wearing blue jeans and checkered shirt, getting into a black Saturn Astra near the campus. Zhang’s case is being treated as a kidnapping, according to the FBI website on Wednesday local time.

Authoritie­s are investigat­ing two men accused of throwing rocks at tigers at a park to rouse them for a better photo.

Witnesses said the men were throwing fi st- sized stones at the resting white tigers at the Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park Monday so they could get an action shot, Chongqing Morning Post reported. Park authoritie­s have promised to look into the case.

A man in East China’s Jiangsu Province drove his car directly into a local convenienc­e store to buy some snacks on Saturday.

Surveillan­ce footage shows the gray Smart car drive through the front door at the Zhenjiang store. The shocked clerk rushes to the car to take his order, video shows.

According to reports, the driver ordered yogurt and potato chips before the driver backed out of the store with the help of the clerk.

“It was raining that night,” the cashier explained, “He probably wanted to save the trouble of getting out of the car.”

Police in West China’s Sichuan Province are investigat­ing a livestream­ing host who allegedly sexually harassed women while performing magic tricks in downtown Chengdu.

The suspect, identifi ed by his Sina Weibo handle “KelisiChri­s,” was accused of making unsolicite­d physical contact with numerous women while performing on the streets of Chengdu for an online show.

The suspect was taken into custody but released due to insuffi cient evidence, police said.
