Top ranking People’s Armed Police replaced in dozen provincial regions

Around a third of China’s provincial- level regions have seen top ranking armed police officers replaced in recent days, including in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The Central Military Commission and State Council ordered on Thursday that Qiao Humin, the previous commander of the PAP headquarters of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, be promoted to assistant commander of the Armed Police Xinjiang Corps, the provinciallevel PAP.

The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is an economic and semi- military organization. It shares the leadership of its PAP headquarters, located in Xinjiang’s capital of Urumqi, with the Armed Police Xinjiang Corps.
