The Central Military Commission and State Council ordered on Thursday that Qiao Humin, the previous commander of the PAP headquarters of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, be promoted to assistant commander of the Armed Police Xinjiang Corps, the provinciallevel PAP.
The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is an economic and semi- military organization. It shares the leadership of its PAP headquarters, located in Xinjiang’s capital of Urumqi, with the Armed Police Xinjiang Corps.
His post was then taken by Zhu Pingjiang, previously chief of southern Xinjiang’s PAP branch, reported the Bingtuan Daily, a newspaper affiliated with the Xinjiang construction corps.
Qiao has been serving in Xinjiang for a long time and has a wealth of counterterrorism experience. According to the report, Zhu, like Qiao, has great experience of leading officers.
