Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines completed its maiden flight with a Boeing 787-9 from Shanghai to Tel Aviv Tuesday. It is the second direct route to the Israeli city for the carrier after starting its Beijing route in April last year.

Starting from November 2016, the Israeli government has been issuing 10-year multiple entry visas to Chinese visitors, bringing more market opportunities for all carriers. Lufthansa Lufthansa Group said on Tuesday that it has decided to establish a representative office in Beijing due to the significance of its market. The office will facilitate communication flows to increase the presence and accessibility of Lufthansa for its Chinese partners that are mainly in the political and governmental environment.

British Airways

British Airways said on Monday that it is partnering with China Merchants Bank to provide a 10 percent off deal when booking flights with the airline.

The offer is available on flights departing from Beijing or Shanghai to London and onward connections to over 130 cities in the UK and its other European destinations. The cheaper fares are available for booking on ba.com from now until October 31, 2017. The offer is valid for flights before December 31, 2017.

Capital Airlines

Capital Airlines said it will launch a direct route from Qingdao in East China’s Shandong Province to Sydney on October 29 this year, giving travelers more options.

Meanwhile, the company said it has transported nearly 50,000 passengers after the route from Qingdao to Melbourne, Australia opened in September 2016.
