China Southern

China Southern Airlines said on Wednesday that the carrier expects to fly about 14,000 flights on 660 routes during the National Day holidays starting October 1.

The carrier has added about 20 extra flights especially for routes from Guangzhou to Chiang Mai and Phuket in Thailand as well as Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam.

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific Airways Monday released combined Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon traffic figures for August 2017 that show an increase in the numbers of both passengers carried and cargo and mail uplifted compared to the same month in 2016.

Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon carried a total 3,079,949 passengers last month – an increase of 3.5 percent compared to August 2016. The passenger load factor dropped 0.5 percentage points to 86.3 percent, while capacity, measured in available seat kilometers, increased 4.8 percent.

Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines launched its maiden flight from Shenzhen to Brisbane in Australia on September 20. It is the second continenta­l route from Shenzhen for the carrier.

Honeywell

Honeywell released its latest flight planning applicatio­n GoDirect Flight Bag Pro for business aviation pilots. Pilots can create and file flight plans for easy reference, calculate and compare aircraft cruise modes to increase performanc­e and access real-time weather updates to ensure the aircraft arrives at the destinatio­n on time. GoDirect Flight Bag Pro is available via an iPad app, and versions for other tablets are in developmen­t.
