Inter-party dialogue builds global solidarity
From Thursday to Sunday, the Communist Party of China (CPC) held an unprecedented global party conference in Beijing.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Leaders from nearly 300 parties and political organizations from more than 120 countries and regions gathered in Beijing to discuss vital matters. Such a big and rare scene is historic for political parties in the world.
Such a vital meeting, according to Guo Yezhou, vice minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, has pioneering significance in the history of the Party, as well as forming a breakthrough in the history of political parties around the world. Then why does this high-level dialogue of global political parties organized by the CPC achieve such a high degree of both concern and participation?
First, there is no doubt that the strong leadership of the CPC guarantees the steadfast development of China. Alongside the deepening of reform and economic development, and in the face of historic changes and external challenges, the CPC confidently answered the questions about what the guiding principles and path of the Party are. They are leading the Chinese people toward a better life, and the nation toward a great rejuvenation with the Chinese Dream.
Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), said the achievements of the CPC in leading the Chinese people are very prominent in the history of humankind. The Party led the Chinese people to overcome difficulties, achieve national liberation and establish a new China. With firm leadership, the Chinese nation is thriving and has made great achievements on the road of socialist construction.
Second, China achieved great success, which will naturally attract the world’s attention. The world is eager to fully interpret Chinese miracles, and to learn more about its successful development. The Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era raised by Xi in his report to the 19th CPC National Congress has attracted the attention of the international community.
The thought profoundly sums up practical experience, condenses the wisdom of the whole Party, and has become an important milestone for the of the world stage, inaugurating a historic process in major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. China adheres to win-win cooperation and gradually is participating in global governance. We must promote friendly relations with other countries through longterm vision, pragmatic commitment and sincere cooperation. Furthermore, the 19th Congress report clearly proposed the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind and promoted the transformation of the global governance system.
The conference is the first main domestic multilateral diplomatic activity held by the CPC after the 19th Congress. It sets up a dialogue and communication platform for global party leaders, and puts forward feasible Chinese plans and wisdom for the development of the international community. As Ruan Zongze, vice president of the China Institute of International Studies, told the media, the CPC sees it as its mission to make new and greater contributions to Chinese people as well as to human beings. According to Ruan, to build a community with a shared future for mankind is the world’s common cause, which needs mutual understanding and full trust between countries. This communication between the parties will undoubtedly build a bridge for mutual understanding and lay a certain ideological basis for the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
