Japanese Internet celebrity Piko-Taro reveals newborn daughter

-

Famous Japanese comedian Piko-Taro announced on Sunday – Father’s Day – that he had become a father by posting a picture of himself on Twitter holding his newborn daughter with the caption: “My daughter gave me the most wonderful present in the world.”

The comedian and member of the band New Bushidou Ravers rose to fame around the world with the hit song “PPAP,” which went viral in 2016 with the lyrics: “I have a pen, I have an apple, uh – Apple-pen.”

More than 88,000 netizens have “liked” the Twitter photo while others posted messages of support.

“Congratulations! What a beautiful daughter! My life also changed when I became a mother a few months ago, good luck!” netizen Kika replied under the post.

Netizens in China seemed to be more infatuated with the star’s handsome looks, which stood in contrast to his more silly appearance in the viral video, than his new status as a father.

“I don’t recognize him without his leopard shirt, ” commented netizen JERRY Yingshijun on Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo.

“He looks much more handsome in this hairstyle!” another netizen, Yaomuzhou, also noted on Sina Weibo.

Some netizens remarked that he looked very similar to Han Han, a popular writer and director in China famous for his talent and good looks.

“Isn’t this Han Han?” and “I thought Han Han had another baby!” were some of the top comments by netizens on Sina Weibo.
