Docs warn ‘cancer cure trips’ fake

-

Medical experts in Beijing are warning against agencies in China promising miracle cancer treatments that involve expensive trips to Switzerland.

The ads, currently making the rounds on social media, offer an all-inclusive travel packages to Swiss hospitals for a preventative cancer treatment that involves special injections.

“Everyone has cancer cells, and the injection we provide is able to expel them from the body,” an employee surnamed Wang said. “You will feel more energetic and healthier after the treatment,” she said.

A ten-day “cancer prevention” trip costs around 468,000 yuan ($70,486), and includes everything from meals to medical exams.

But health experts in Beijing slammed the claim, saying that such treatments are not available yet anywhere in the world.

“With the exception of cervical cancer, it is almost impossible to prevent most types of cancers,” a doctor at a top Beijing hospital said.

“Any drug or technology that has proven effective for cancer prevention would have already been published in top medical periodicals.”
