Hosts Kevin Tsai and Dee Hsu reunite for new talk show

The popular TV hosts Kevin Tsai (Cai Kangyong) and Dee Hsu (Xu Xidi) will be reuniting as hosts on their new variety talk show Zhenxiang ba! Huahua Wanwu on Friday.

Formerly the hosts of variety-comedy talk show Kangxi Coming, Tsai and Hsu earned an enormous following over the years on the show with their humorous and unrestrained style. The show mainly featured interactions between the two hosts and popular celebrities, while topics of discussion ranged from their own experiences, the latest gossip and recent events.

Kangxi Coming aired from 2004 to 2016 – the longest Chinese language variety talk show.

While many celebrities try to avoid talking about their previous works, a preview of Zhenxiang ba! Huahua Wanwu saw Hsu expressly mention they duo are the same “Kangxi partners” that they were in the previous show.

Tsai also noted that the new show will be very similar to their previous talk show.

The new show has ignited high anticipation among fans of the original Kangxi Coming, many of whom rushed to comment on Chinese social media.

“I am looking forward to see the reunion of the Kangxi partners. Also I can’t wait for Zhu Zhengting, a member of Yuehua Seven NEXT, who is going to be on the show,” netizen Zoe Yuan Gungun commented on the new show’s Sina Weibo.
