Super Junior member Kim Ryeo-wook returns from two years of military service

After completing nearly two years of military service, K-pop star Kim Ryeo-wook, also known by the mononym Ryeowook, has rejoined South Korean boy band Super Junior.

A member of the popular band Super Junior and its subgroups, Super JuniorK.R.Y. and Super Junior-M, the 31-year-old has large fan base in the globe and is one of the first South Korean artists to appear on a Chinese postage stamp.

After serving 21 months, the star was officially discharged on Tuesday at a ceremony attended by other band members such as Park Jeong-su, Lee Hyuk-jae, Choe Si-won and Donghae and a group of as many as 500 fans.

According to reports, Kim is expected to hold a fan meet themed Return to the Little Prince in Seoul on Thursday.

The 10th member to return to the music band since its start, Kim made his solo debut and released his first extendedpl­ay record The Little Prince and a duet he performed with South Korean singer Bada, “Cosmic,” in 2016 before he began his military service on October 11 of that year.
