Honeywell

The business jet industry is expected to experience strong growth in the short to medium term as new airplane models hit the market amid an improved used aircraft environmen­t, according to a recent outlook released by Honeywell.

The outlook forecasts up to 7,700 new business jet deliveries worth $251 billion from 2019 to 2028, up 1 to 2 percentage points from the 2017 10-year forecast.

Operators in Asia Pacific report new jet acquisitio­n plans for 12 percent of their fleet over the next five years. Based on the expressed level of purchase plans, Asia Pacific would represent close to a 7 percent share of global new jet demand over the next five years.

United Airlines

United Airlines has submitted a formal applicatio­n to the US Department of Transporta­tion for authority to increase service between New York/Newark Liberty and Shanghai Pudong beginning in June 2020.

If approved, its second daily flight will create opportunit­ies for customers to connect to Shanghai from more than 90 US and Canadian destinatio­ns.

Jiangxi Express

Jiangxi Express Commuter Aviation, the first short-haul airline in East China’s Jiangxi Province, said on Wednesday that it plans to fly short-haul flights within the province in September next year.

According to the plan, cities such as Jiujiang and Yichun will be linked by a flight lasting one hour.

Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines said it plans to open two direct flights from Southwest China’s Chongqing to Paris and also Shenzhen to Paris next month.

The two flights will be the second and third routes to Paris for the carrier after it started flights between Xi’an in Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province and Paris in 2014.
