設計師Ching Lee擴大窗戶,盡取美景和天然光之優勢 work, Edmund decided that Ching and her colleagues were the designers he was looking for. The project would be the home’s first major renovation, aside from a partial renovation of the space a decade prior. The couple decided to largely remain hands-off, leaving many of the major redecorating decisions to Ching save for a few salient points. The pool, for instance, definitely had to stay as Betty is fond of swimming, although it was completely retiled. When it came to the furnishings, Edmund made his selections and consulted Ching for feedback. The project took a year and a half to complete, and was finally finished at the end of last year.

"I wanted to make the home warmer and simpler," explains Ching. "We wanted to make better use of the space." For one, she extended the sitting room, turning the exterior path from the front yard to the back into a narrow staircase. She also moved the kitchen to the back of the first floor, which used to be a living area, and converted the sitting area at the front of the house into the dining room.
