A SYMPHONY OF STYLES
The living room in the atelier embraces Italian heritage and gives it a modern edge with mid-century silhouettes upholstered in silk brocade from Andrea's collection, IKEA sofas and scenes of ancient Rome. By contrast, the summer living room is a more sombre, elegant affair.
Also overlooking the verdant courtyard, the living room in the designer’s atelier combines the antique and the contemporary to great effect. Black-and-white drawings depict scenes of ancient Rome, while tables, armchairs and intricate laser-cut lamps designed by Andrea mingle effortlessly with playful IKEA sofas to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
The larger summer living room, however, marks a return to flamboyant form. Influenced by the splendour of palaces owned by Indian maharajas, Bohemia crystal chandeliers and laser-cut wood panels – reminiscent of Arabic mashrabiya (projecting windows featuring carved wood latticework)
