Minimal interiors mirror the modernist appeal of the openplan abode. Walls have been substituted for sliding doors from Rimadesio, allowing space to flow freely and views to remain unobstructed.

"That was the biggest challenge," Duilio says. "We wanted to create a horizontal building without obstructing the surrounding landscape – both from the outside and the inside." The resulting house is a study in the organic architecture propogated by Frank Lloyd Wright, achieving an elemental harmony between its human inhabitants and the natural world it emerges from. Clean, straight lines – minimal in their purity and sculptural in their simplicity – shape the form, while generous floor-toceiling glass walls and materials such as wood and stone provide the visual connections necessary to unite the man-made with the scenic setting.
Inside, the decor plays a supporting role to the panoramic aspects visible from every room. The palette is monochromatic, deviating from white or black only to include evocative shades of grey. Furnishings are also kept to a minimum, featuring understated and elegant design items, including a modular sofa from Edra, the hues and silhouette of which evince the rugged peaks beyond.
