Founded by a group of altruistic businessmen, Tai Ping was launched in 1956 as a way of providing employment for refugees recently arrived from China, helping them to start a new life in Hong Kong. Tai Ping’s carpets quickly became a symbol of the growing city—and this season, their latest Scenematic collection celebrates these roots through a collaboration with André Fu, who has created a range of bespoke carpets influenced by flâneur-esque immersion in urban landscapes.
