The Copper House, Sentosa Cove

Situated on the southeast corner of Sentosa, Singapore’s playground island, this contemporary two-storey home overlooking the sea gets its name from the copper cladding on its facade. Built on an 18,000sqft plot, the 9,500sqft house is inverted, with its six en-suite bedrooms located on the ground floor, and its dining room and other living spaces on the second floor to maximise views of the sea. Each bedroom has French doors leading to the swimming pool in the garden, which has a 40-metre foreshore frontage.

Built in 2012, the house has a basement with parking for eight cars, plus a gym, spa, sauna and steel-encased wine cellar for 2,000 bottles. The use of metal as a design feature extends to the living areas of the house, where sculptured metallic structures have been installed to guarantee good feng shui.
