The brand
Philippe Starck, who has some 10,000 creations to his name, founded Yoo in 1999 with property entrepreneur John Hitchcox so that he could apply his avant-garde style to residential and hospitality projects around the world. Yoo’s first project was The Yoo Building at St John’s Wood in London and the brand has since grown to include projects in Montreal, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Dubai. Bangkok-based property developer Sansiri collaborated with the residential and hotel design company for Khun by Yoo, a luxury residence in the trendy district of Thong Lo that is scheduled to be completed by 2020.
The property
Khun by Yoo’s facade provides a strong first impression, with its mix of copper cladding and floor-to-ceiling windows. The property offers 148 units, including two penthouses, for sale, with some of the three-bedroomed apartments measuring up to 1,611sqft.
