THIS YEAR’S IVY BALL SAW A NEW LEVEL OF FRIENDLY COMPETITION AMONG PRESTIGIOUS HISTORIC SCHOOLS
The crème de la crème of academic institutions gathered together for the annual Ivy Ball, which this year took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ballroom. Students from participating schools—harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, Upenn and Mit—met up to mingle and boost school pride. The event began with a welcome from Ivy League representatives and guests were presented with prizes while they enjoyed dinner. This was followed by a raffle that caused much excitement due to the generous donations by Ivy alumni such as Crystal Hung of Chocolat-ier, Jennifer Liu of Caffe Habitu and Justin Chang of Ascot Chang. Prizes included breaks at five-star hotels, a gym membership, vouchers for Maximal Concepts and goodies from Shu Uemura. The grand prize was a ring from Bee’s Diamonds, which featured 56 of the precious gems, and also free admission for any part-time course at General Assembly.
