Dolce & Gabbana’s latest offering was straight out of a storybook. Fairytale motifs—including swans, keys, apples, briars and woodland animals—were embroidered on dresses, capes, sweaters and even knee-high boots. Princely looks included leggings with slippers. Coats and capes were crafted from gorgeously heavy fabric in rich shades of plum, red and green interplayed with grey. Headpieces featured heavily, from the opening model’s headscarf to a stunning red hooded fur cape (Little Red Riding Hood, are you jealous?) and a pointed elf-like brocade number. A floaty, blood-red ball gown with laced-up bodice was the highlight of a collection fit for a princess.
