A siren wailed as an Echo and the Bunnymen track played, but there was no cause for alarm; we were in safe hands. Reassuring yet ravishing, the collection was a breeze of classic looks crafted from luxe fabrics. Coats were so large and cosy that you could hide your significant other in them. A gorgeous grey one with oversized collar opened the show; later, a cream duffel with toggles was stunning in its simplicity. Waistcoats were also to be seen, worn as a sleeveless alternative to the coat. The midi skirt made an appearance, feminising what was a rather masculine collection, right down to the hats. Suits with deep V-necks revealed swinging pendants. And speaking of accessories—oh, those bags. Satchels, shoulder bags, clutches and totes came in tasteful tan, cool cream and classic black, and had us all desperate for a new arm piece.
