Meet Jino Khidhr, co-founder of Ed1tus, the city’s first men’s lifestyle showroom

From his knowledge of hong kong, you’d think Jino Khidhr has lived in the city for his entire life, rather than it being little more than a year since he moved here from his native Italy. He’s settled in so well that he already has favourite hiking trails (by the beach in Tai Long Wan) and hang-outs (Ronin in Sheung Wan). “I moved here from my hometown of Milan to launch Ed1tus with my business partner,” says Khidhr. “I never thought I would really end up in Hong Kong because I got into the industry of fashion by chance, to be honest.” Khidhr had been an avid soccer player in school and a teammate referred him to Tom Ford. Almost a decade later, he came to Hong Kong and co-founded a lifestyle showroom that combines fashion (10 labels and counting) and food (a private dining area catered by the Butchers Club complete with an outdoor event space). What’s next? “We’re planning to launch a retail space in the showroom later this year. Stay tuned.”
