Lightfoot Travel, which has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai and arranges luxury bespoke trips to countries on six continents, launched a new 15-day itinerary in August that takes guests from the arid Atacama Desert in Chile to the frozen splendour of Antarctica. The trip starts at a boutique Relais & Châteaux property near Atacama and proceeds to Punta Arenas, from where a yacht departs for Antarctica. Guests spend six days cruising, kayaking from the yacht and observing all manner of wildlife, from penguins to whales. The trip ends back in Chilean wine country. Only three cabins are still available for the 2014–15 season, but bookings are already open for next season, which runs from December 2015 to February 2016.
