Festive Fundraiser The fayre of st john’s

-

Festive cheer abounded as the great and the good of Hong Kong packed St John’s Cathedral for an evening of Christmas music, which raised nearly HK$2 million for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre in Tuen Mun. The event was inspired by The Fayre of St James, an annual carol concert in London that also aids Maggie’s centres. Hong Kong’s inaugural fundraiser was organised by Quintessentially Lifestyle with support from a committee including Anne Wang-liu, Clare Keswick, Yolanda Choy-tang and Christy Powell. As well as joining the choir for rousing renditions of yuletide favourites, guests were treated to heart-felt readings by Keswick, Olivia Croucher Buckingham and Jessica Jann, and Ronald Kwok stepped into the spotlight to sing a medley of seasonal songs. The merriment continued at the official after-party at Mott 32.
