Cham­pagne-lov­ing so­cialites stepped out for an ex­clu­sive gala din­ner at the Is­land Shangri-la ball­room to cel­e­brate the re­lease of Belle Epoque 2007, the lat­est vin­tage of Per­ri­erJouët’s ac­claimed cu­vée. The cock­tail area was trans­formed into an en­chanted gar­den with abun­dant flo­ral ar­range­ments. Am­bi­ent light­ing in green and white re­flected the fresh­ness and the flo­ral notes of the cham­pagne. The gala din­ner fea­tured a live band and an en­chant­ing vo­cal per­for­mance by French singer Liza Melfi. Guests were de­lighted to be dining with Hervé Deschamps, the sev­enth cel­lar mas­ter of the pres­ti­gious cham­pagne house, who guided them through an im­pres­sive epi­curean jour­ney with the most ex­clu­sive cu­vée. Among those seen en­joy­ing the bub­bles and the de­li­cious repast, which in­cluded lob­ster risotto, were Michelle Cheng, Leonard Chao, Bran­don Chau and Alan Lo.
