Ooh la la!
rtistic relations between Hong Kong and Paris received a boost recently with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between K11 Art Foundation (KAF) founder Adrian Cheng and Serge Lasvignes, the chairman of the Pompidou Centre. As part of a three-year partnership deal, KAF will support the renowned Parisian institution’s research into the contemporary Chinese art scene. The partnership deal includes the appointment of a Chinese curator, who will work to raise awareness about young contemporary Chinese artists. Cheng is excited about the new association. “It is vital to continue to identify and show the vitality of contemporary Chinese creation. We are delighted to join forces with the Centre Pompidou to expand its expertise in this area,” he says.
