Road Rage
This season’s geared-up version of the biker jacket is rigged with extra decor and new definition—and it’s chock-full of attitude
The biker jacket has made its fashion world comeback time and time again. Whether rounded, oversized, buttoned or zipped, it has swapped faces on numerous occasions to arrive at its current look. Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci unveils its revved-up version of the biker jacket, including signature elements such as dangled raccoon tails on boxy texturised bikers—all designed to scream bad-boy. Similarly, Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent also revamps the classic motorcycle jacket with added zips and waist-belt details. Revel in that attitude and opt for standout pieces such as leather bags, biker boots and studded accessories, and balance out the heavy embellishments by pairing them with black jeans and monotone basics for a nonchalant, carefree look. For variety, mirror Tisci’s styling by casually throwing it over a pinstripe suit and a buttoned-up dress shirt.
